You’re Invited: CV-SALTS Online Summit
Thanks to funding from local growers like yourself, the CV-SALTS initiative has become a powerful example of collaborative, regional action. Together, regulators, community leaders, agriculture, and local agencies have taken on one of the Central Valley’s most urgent challenges: protecting safe drinking water while supporting the region’s economic foundation.
Now, five years into implementation of the Nitrate and Salt Control Programs, the Central Valley Salinity Coalition is hosting an online summit to take stock of the progress made and to request input to guide the next phase of this important work.
Please join us Monday, June 30 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (PDT) for an engaging, solutions-focused event featuring regional updates that demonstrate the impact of CV-SALTS 5 years in:
- Providing safe drinking water to rural communities affected by nitrate contamination
- Addressing long-term salt accumulation that threatens agricultural sustainability
- Building local partnerships and strengthening coordinated water quality responses
- Featuring perspectives from regulators, community partners, and industry leaders
