The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Board is requiring that a sizable portion of our Coalition area be designated as a High Vulnerability Area in an approvable Groundwater Quality Assessment Report. The Coalition has notified members who have parcels in the High and Low Vulnerability Areas. The Nitrogen Management Planning requirement began on March 23, 2015 for members in High Vulnerablility Areas that farm 60 or more irrigated acres and is required to be updated annually by March 1.  Small Farms less than 60 irrigated acres and  parcels designated as Low Vulnerability will need to have Nitrogen Management Plans on farm by March 1, 2017.
